A little bit late, but here is my year-end reflection post. I don’t even know what to say-this year has been so much fun and crazy. I’m finishing up my second year and awaiting all the beautiful stories I will be able to tell with my camera for 2011. There are so many things I have in store for the business and I can’t wait to share with everyone, but before I can even discuss anything, I have to give a huge thank you to all of my clients and friends from 2010. Thank you so much for trusting me to be your story teller, for having patience with me since it’s only me who runs the show, for sending me messages that melt my heart. I went through such an emotional journey this year and I’m learning new things about myself all the time.I kind of feel like I’m at an awards show right now, especially since I am going to be thanking my husband pretty soon, haha.

So, thank you Jimmy for you letting me cry, sharing in my joy, and being patient with me because I can’t order my thoughts the way you do. Thanks for coming to weddings with me and being such a an amazing man, friend, and partner.

There are so many things I have in store for next year, some personal and some you will see on this blog and my website. I know people do resolutions and never keep them, but I have some clear goals and I intend to hustle and push to make it happen. But, the heart of my work will always be the same. I hope everyone had a great 2010, but if not, here’s to a new year that can only bring new hope and possibilities. I am so excited to see what the new year brings for some of my amazing clients from last year. I’m horrible at picking images, so here are some random shots that I love and some I even forgot I took!

Just wanted to give my blog followers a heads up that I (and the hubster) will be out of the office from the 24th-26th. We are headed to Boston for an engagement shoot (Huzzah!) This is the first time I am heading out to do a shoot for a client in another state. Also, be sure to check back everyday that I am up there. I will be blogging everyday about the wonderful clients and the lovely city known as Boston. Hopefully I don’t eat too many cream pies…who am I kidding?

I just wanted to share a few pictures of my re-vamped marketing materials. I feel like one of the great things about being a business owner, is being able to create the look of everything you pass onto others. I like being able to create unique packages and never having one client inquiry packet look the same as another. I like being able to use twine, ribbons, different card stock for hand written notes, and stamping it up. It’s the simple pleasures in life, I guess.

My photography is raw and earthy-never one for the flash of life. My new packaging balances Earth and color; recycled and new. Kind of like love.

If the camera is out, Pebbles is sure to follow!

It’s here. It’s my Birthday. I am officially 26 years old today. For some reason, 26 is hitting me harder than it should. I remember thinking that 26 was so old when I was younger, but I STILL don’t quite feel like an adult. 26. That is the number I am. But, I guess I am way more than that number as well. So, fo my birthday post, I will list, in Facebook fashion, 26 things about me

1. I was born in Florida. It’s hard to come by true Floridians.

2. I am a new coffee addict. I knew it was going to get me. I now have to have a cup every morning.

3. I hate my teeth, but that doesn’t stop me from smiling. And I feel like I have this huge stupid grin when I do. Smiling, it’s what I do best.

4. I am a great organizer, but keeping it organized is a whole other matter!

5. I am a SUCKER for anything cute. Things like crystals do not tempt me, but once I see a hippo veggie peeler…I.Must.Have!

6. Part of the reason Jimmy and I work so well is that he realizes that a fancy car won’t impress me, but him doing the jig with me is what gets my heart. I love our silly moments.

7. I sing in the car. OMG, do I sing. I even attempt some car dancing. I definitely need to tint the windows!

8. Before every shoot I do a little pump-up speech for myself. I get nervous the first few minutes, but then everything flows.

9. I love books. I will read anything, and if it’s good It will be read over and over. We have books all over our house. Being an only child, books kind of filled the void of a sibling. But, nothing can ever replace the sense of adventure you get in books. Imagination is everything.

10. Incubus is my favorite band.

11. I am a huge color lover.

12. I am a huge romantic and a sucker for love/sad stories. I sometimes like it when two lovers don’t end up together instead of getting married in a movie or story.

13. I could eat watermelon all day long.

14. Everyday, I get more and more freaked out that I have my own business. I was fearless starting it, but I think reality is settling in. Eek!

15. Everyday, I get more excited when I realize I have my own business and I do something I kind of fell into and love. Huzzah!

16. My first kiss was a dare.

17. When I meet new people, I have a motor-mouth. I think it’s a nerves thing, and I realize I am talking too much, but does that stop me? Nope.

18. I am not a happy-go-lucky person, but I have been trying to think positive in every situation.

19. I love reading Winnie the Pooh quotes everyday. There is much wisdom in that bear.

20. I’m a big Sci-fi nerd. Like a big-old fat nerd.

21. I looooove the show 30 rock. Ugh, I have an undying love for Tina Fey.

22. I don’t look like it, but I am highly competitive when it comes to games or bets. I have been known to throw out a “In yo’ face” & a “How you like me now??!” after winning. Must learn to reel that in. I don’t think those are good qualities. Who am I kidding- throwing victory in your opposers face is the best. Ha.

23. I really want to go to Italy one day. It’s been a dream of mine ever since I was young.

24. I love high heels. They make me feel oh-so-feminine.

25. I love Sangria. Yum!

26. My hubby, dog, and kitty give me hope and laughter. Love them to pieces!

{Around Here} Paint Your Heart Out

Last Saturday I participated in a charity event for Paint Your Heart Out. My husband, Jimmy, was the group leader and had a few awesome people from his accounting firm, Grant Thornton, and the Law Firm, Hill Ward & Henderson participate. This is the first time I have ever painted a house, so I was bit nervous that I would end up messing something up. Thank goodness I brought my camera and I could hide behind it! I kid, I promise I helped out! But, I did snag a few pictures!

Last weekend, Jimmy and I went out shooting since he is going to be my second shooter. Yes, a wife and husband team! It’s hard finding someone who shoots the way you do, but can also add their own flair. What better way to get what you want when you have a husband who is eager to learn and take shots the way you would take. Here are two shots he took that are totally different from one another and I did the editing:
