Katie and Kevin-so cute together, so much fun, and totally opposite of each other. Katie is funny,loud, and quirky, while Kevin is definitely the strong silent type. I can totally relate to their relationship, because that is definitely how Jimmy and I are! I met Katie and Kevin at the very first wedding I ever did and we’ve kept in touch ever since. I am so glad that I get to be a part of their story and their big day. I had a blast laughing and snapping their pictures. Sorry for the bug bites, Katie! I hope it was all worth it!

Also, we tried to get their baby, Roscoe, in some group shots, but you know cats. They are independent, stubborn, and won’t stand for a lens in their face. I did get some sweet pictures of him, mostly by himself, though! Such a cutie!

I can’t wait for your wedding in Rhode Island! It’s going to be absolutely amazing! Love you guys!

Maeghan & Ralf

I think Miami is becoming my favorite location to do any type of shoot. I love Tampa, but Miami-they know how to do it! I always have a blast and Maeghan and Ralf were no exception. What a fun and sweet couple-which is becoming a trend in all of my couples. Maeghan found out about me through one of my other brides- Victoria ( who, by the way , is one of my sweetest brides and now she and her darling hubby have a gorgeous baby girl. Love watching my couples grown into beautiful families.) and I am so glad that we finally got to meet. When she told me she wanted to go to Ralf’s fire station for some pictures, I jumped all over it. How different and fun and I always love incorporating something unique to the couple in each of my sessions.

So, I have to say one thing. Maeghan told me that they have never taken photos together like this. Well, you two look like models so I’m going to have to say you lied to me, Maeghan! I mean, real pros, you two!! Haha, totally kidding about the lying part, but you two brought it and then some more. December seems so far away right now, but I can’t even imagine how you two will look on your wedding day. Also, It was a ton of fun to hang out and just kinda goof around and break a few rules together. Can’t wait until the big day!

A little bit late, but here is my year-end reflection post. I don’t even know what to say-this year has been so much fun and crazy. I’m finishing up my second year and awaiting all the beautiful stories I will be able to tell with my camera for 2011. There are so many things I have in store for the business and I can’t wait to share with everyone, but before I can even discuss anything, I have to give a huge thank you to all of my clients and friends from 2010. Thank you so much for trusting me to be your story teller, for having patience with me since it’s only me who runs the show, for sending me messages that melt my heart. I went through such an emotional journey this year and I’m learning new things about myself all the time.I kind of feel like I’m at an awards show right now, especially since I am going to be thanking my husband pretty soon, haha.

So, thank you Jimmy for you letting me cry, sharing in my joy, and being patient with me because I can’t order my thoughts the way you do. Thanks for coming to weddings with me and being such a an amazing man, friend, and partner.

There are so many things I have in store for next year, some personal and some you will see on this blog and my website. I know people do resolutions and never keep them, but I have some clear goals and I intend to hustle and push to make it happen. But, the heart of my work will always be the same. I hope everyone had a great 2010, but if not, here’s to a new year that can only bring new hope and possibilities. I am so excited to see what the new year brings for some of my amazing clients from last year. I’m horrible at picking images, so here are some random shots that I love and some I even forgot I took!

More key smashing needs to be done. I swear I have the best couples. I love everything about yesterday’s session. Well, the heat was awful. I don’t know how these two looked perfect and beautiful during the shoot, because I looked like I ran around the block. My hair was a sweaty mess and it was so hot my eyeliner melted off my face. Like, I was not a pretty sight-at all. But, all the heat in the world is worth these images.

Jenna and John remind me of a Ralph Lauren ad. Seriously, how adorable are they? Also, Jenna reminds me of a good friend of mine, so there may be some bias involved here. When we were planning this session, Jenna mentioned that she wanted to use bikes, kind of like in The Notebook. Unfortunately, they didn’t have two bikes and I didn’t have any that would work, either. They totally surprised me with the picnic idea and I love, love, love them for it! This post is image heavy, so i’ll just get on with it, haha.

I just want to smash my keys. Like, I don’t even know what to write, because I just want you to look at these pictures. I am so in love with this session! I think I did the most sun flare with this session, and you know what? I’M NOT GONNA APOLOGIZE. I’m addicted, but I don’t want a cure for this. Cassidy, Matt, and I headed over to downtown St.pete and visited the Vinoy and Straub park for some engagement pictures. It’s so funny. I live in the Tampa area, but I very rarely shoot in this area. First time ever doing a session in St.Pete and I loved it! But, it’s so easy to have a good time and get some great pictures when the couple is so awesome to work with.

I met Cassidy and her mom a while back and was crossing my fingers they would want my dorky self to shoot their wedding. When Cassidy sent me that happy e-mail letting me know that she wanted me, I thanked her and apologized for my rambling conversation. I’m telling you, I’m a dork and my mind splinters off in so many directions, which is great for creativity, but not so good for daily human interaction!

Cassidy and Matt are so laid back about the wedding details, which is awesome. The main details of a wedding should always be: Love, fun, and joy. You got the perfect celebration if all of those ingredients are there. Also, these two are not only adorable together and should always have their picture taken, they just graduated and are taking their Bar exam next month! Total smarty pants couple! Love it! Are all lawyers this cute? Maybe it’s just the ones who book me

I’ll see you two on your wedding day with my rubber chicken! (haha!)

Okay, so there is definitely a mega-post alert on this one. What can I say about Jesette and Mike? You two are just so sweet and kind. I had so much fun just hanging out and taking some pictures of you two. The locations were nothing short of spectacular. We headed over to Vizcaya museum and Gardens for the first part of the shoot-wow! I had never been there and I was just blown away. Absolutely beautiful. Of course, whenever I come to Miami I manage to find my way to Bill Baggs and get some shots there

Thank you so much for trusting me in taking these images for you two and also for your wedding day. There are couples that you just click with and feel so lucky to know. Also, Jesette, love your family! Dinner was so much fun and I love getting to know what my couples are like outside of the wedding stuff.I just felt the love from everyone on saturday. The way Mike looks at Jesette and is so tender with her. Jesette’s pet names for mike are adorable and just fit. Gah, I think i’ll just keep gushing about you guys! So, I’m just gonna get into the pictures now…

Yesterday was an engagement session with another awesome couple. So much fun! How do I get so lucky to get laid back fun couples? Not only are they sweet and funny, but , hello, amazing taste in music!

Amanda and Anthony, you guys were so much fun! Also, Anthony, you can come be my assistant and pose couples any time! He was nailing it the whole time. I’m about to direct them and all of the sudden it’s like I have the perfect image because these two pretty much rock. Thank you guys for sitting on greasy rail road tracks and pretty much just goofing off with me yesterday!
