Jordanna & Chris

Jordanna and Chris’ wedding was so much fun to photograph. When we met up for their engagement session, I knew it was going to be pretty amazing, but I was pretty blown away. The details were colorful and sweet and I love, love, LOVED the surprise Jordanna put together for Chris. The wedding was on St.Patrick’s day, so of course there had to be something special. Cue the cutest dancers I have ever seen. Also special was their daughter as a flower girl who definitely was the sweet little stealer of the spotlight. Biggest smiles and dancing feet on little girls always manage to sway your heart.

I am so excited to post this wedding! There were so many sweet elements to this wedding, like having their rings passed around from guest to guest during the ceremony. Such a symbolic touch signifying how a marriage is made stronger by those in your life. I’ve had weddings where the guests were asked to say something like “we do” when asked by the officiant to help sustain the bride and groom’s marriage, but this was definitely a new and amazing tradition. I love how David is the strong, silent type (but he definitely pulled some pretty surprising moves on the dance floor!!) and Marissa is a bit more playful and funny. Also, they looked pretty darn amazing on their wedding day.

One of the reasons I was so excited to shoot this wedding is because David is the brother of the groom from one of my very FIRST weddings! I was so excited to see Jen and Rob and even more excited because they just added a baby girl to their family. I love that I am seeing past bride and grooms, bridal party members, and friends at weddings nowadays.

I hope you guys are having fun in Las Vegas! Totally wish I was there!!

I love how Jordanna and Chris are alike but also a bit different. Their relationship reminds me so much of my own with my husband. While Chris and I would totally veg out watching a sci-fi movie, I think Jordanna and my husband would much rather do something a bit more cerebral. Maybe balance the budget? Spreadsheets, anyone? Haha, totally not making fun, Jordanna actually came up with that one! I had so much hanging with J&C this past weekend. I loved hearing about how they met (in South Tampa after Chris kept bumping into Jordanna a few times) and about their darling daughter.

The wedding is fast approaching and I can’t wait to just take in the day and celebrate such an awesome couple. I’m going to be sad after the wedding, actually! I think some drinks and more hanging out are in our future! Haha.

Last sunday I shot my very first wedding of the year and I am so happy it was Kim and Hector’s wedding! You know things are going to be amazing when you have such warm hearted couples and families. Also, they are cat people, so, yeah, we were definitely going to get along! haha. I felt welcome right away and had so much fun being a part of their day.

I hope you two have fun in Mexico!!! Totally jealous especially since it is raining right now!

My last wedding of the year is always bittersweet and memorable. I get quite emotional, but I am so happy I got to close the end of the year with such sweet and amazing couple like Erica and Chris! From the first email I received from Erica I knew I would love her and that is exactly what happened! I loved all the little details of the day and the focus on love. I always say this about Miami weddings, but seriously, you guys win on having the most pumped up receptions. I always blast some dance and latin music on the way home. SO infectious!!

I am so excited for you two and how amazing that you get to close out the year as a married couple!

The day couldn’t have gone as amazingly as it did without the videographers. I absolutely loved working with Captivated FIlms. Miami is on a roll with such awesome vendors and venues!
