The yellow umbrella of friendship. Odalys coined that term as the definition of how we met and grew as more than just a photographer and a set of clients. When I first got my first epic e-mail from Odalys, I was going through a bit of a personal family tragedy. While taking little moments for myself, I read and responded to Odalys’ story of her and Matthew. I never really though too much about it-I was just replying and loved this person who was yet to become a client of mine. Who knew it would grow into this year long obsession with e-mails that take hours to write and talking about things that have nothing to do with weddings. We found many things in common (hello, fabulous music obsession!!) and even offered words of wisdom to each other. I really don’t know what to write or how to even write anything, because how can you sum up a friendship? I was honored to be invited to her Bridal shower as a guest and I met her wonderful sisters, mother, and friends. You and Matthew are so blessed to have such wonderful families! Her relationship with her mother reminds me of my own with my mom and I only wish I had amazing sisters just like her (only child here.) Also, Natalie, you did give me the best greeting ever!
So, this wedding went above and beyond what Odalys described to me. The details are gorgeous, the couple is absolutely beautiful, and there was so much love in the air. Guerdy was the coordinator for the wedding and was just amazing. Like, I want to redo my whole wedding again and have her work her magic-she is absolutely incredible!
I hope you to two have a wonderful honeymoon in St.Barts! I hope the e-mails always keep coming and you two will always and forever have a special place in my heart.
